Jewel care

by Luigi Staniscia

ISIDE COLLECTION

  • Avoid contact with products such as lacquers, perfumes, creams, soaps, chlorine and other cosmetics/chemicals which could damage the jewel
  • Avoid wearing the jewel for too long on very hot summer days and during sports activities, as particularly acidic perspiration could damage it
  • Avoid wearing the jewel on the beach as salt and sand could damage it
  • Avoid wearing the jewel at the spa
  • Store the jewel in suitable cases to prevent tarnishing of the silver
  • It is possible to clean the jewel with a soft cloth, but always with great care and attention
  • In case of oxidized jewel, specific immersion or different products can be used, which allow the product to be restored to its shine. It is possible to use them independently, but, for safety, it is advisable to have these procedures carried out by your trusted goldsmith

MIDA COLLECTION

ALMA COLLECTION

  • Avoid contact with acidic substances that could dull the mother-of-pearl layer, such as lacquers, creams, perfumes and other cosmetics
  • Avoid wearing the jewel for too long on very sultry summer days and during sports activities, as particularly acidic perspiration could damage the pearls
  • Try to clean the pearls with a soft cloth before storing them, avoiding soap or other detergents
  • Store the jewel separately from harder jewels, to prevent them from scratching it
  • Place the jewel in a fabric bag (such as velvet) with which it can then be placed in a jewelry box together with other jewels
  • Avoid storing the jewel where it can be subjected to direct light sources
  • By wearing this jewel frequently, it is normal for the internal wire to loosen slightly, therefore, in this case, it is advisable to go to a goldsmith and have the pearls re-threaded to ensure that the jewel is like new again. We recommend checking the threading every 6/12 months to prevent any or almost irreparable damage
